My First Love Affair

Love is a beautiful feeling, isn't it ?
Love affairs are beautiful too, are they ?

Well, let me tell you about my first love affair today. You may find some glimpses of your first love affair too after reading this. If you're thinking that you never have had any love affair, then just read this till end, you will feel loved.

So, before I reveal my affair to you, let me find answer to a question first.

What love affair actually is ?

- A love affair is where two living beings surrender to eachother unconditionally.

-A love affair is when those involved, give eachother what is required by them.

-It is a never ending process of give & take even without noticing conciously.

-It is when one party sacrifices for the good of other.

-It is when both are so much connected, that absence of one suffocates the other.

These are some of the attributes of a love affair, more precisely an ideal-love affair.

But there is the other side of coin too.
There are toxic love affairs too.
Where one pays and other plays,
where things are not smooth,
where there is sacrifice on one side and exploitation on the other side.

Such love affairs are ultimately detrimental to both the parties.

Sadly, I have to tell you that my first love affair belongs to this second category.
The toxic-love affair.

And to put it even more straight enough, I am the one to exploit my partener. My love affair is still breathing but its becoming toxic day by day.

You want to know who is it with ?
When did it all start ?

Well, it started with my first breath. When I inhaled the fresh air for the first time to support my life system.
My first love affair is with these trees around me.
They have provided me with all the life support material that is essential for my survival - air, food, shelter.
They have sacrificed themselves, their own lives to be a part of my life. I ate their fruit & that fruit became me after entering me.

I inhale what they exhale & they inhale what I exhale, its a never ending beautiful process. It literally sums up that line from bollywood song "Saans me teri saans aayi toh, mujhe saans aayi" (Translation : When your breath mixed in my breath, I was able to breath, I was able to breath.) 

Is it less than some romantic affair ?
It is such a beautiful relation on their part.

These trees have proved to be a good lover.
But,I on the other hand have treated them with axes and cutters. I am exploiting them to my own peril. I've forgotten that I won't survive without them.

You know who I am ? I am human.

I am God's best creation(self claimed). I am a selfish lover. I am an epitome of greed. But, I expect all the goodness in return. And it is providing me like a selfless lover.


But nemesis will do come to me. They die, I die

Why am I not able to understand this simple equation. Why am I so lost ? Where is this all confusion arising from when everything is crystal clear in front of me ?

I need some help.
